Oct 29, 2014 - Since USBasp and USBtiny are both based on libusb, could it be the right. Successfully installed USBasp driver on 64bit windows 10! Hi! I upgraded from win 8.1 to WIn 10 32-bit Enterprise and my CP210x adapter stopped working, gives an exclamation mark and code 31. I have uninstalled driver, downloaded the newest one from your download section but it still doesn´t work. I installed it in another computer still running 8.1 without problems. Is there an driver update soon?
Best regards
Michael

as far as I know we still not release the driver that support win10 in website, where you got the driver and install, is itDenverMy views are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of Silicon Labs -
I downloaded the 8.1 version but it seems that I have to wait for driver to Win10Thanks for Your reply! -
Hello,I migrated from Windows seven to Windows 10. I also have a problem with a cp210x adapter and its drivers. It worked well on the same machine with seven. I also tried to re-install without success. I will wait a few days.PhilippeSalon de Provence - France -

Please refer to Tabi's comment from link below for more information about CP210x VCP driver for Windows 10. -
I had a similar problem. If it was working in the older version of Windows, you could try installing a'legacy' hardware. Instead of going the 'automatic way,' choose manual, pick comm ports, pickSiliconLabs and the known drivers most likely will show up.Hope that helps.- Thanks,- Rao. -
Does anyone know it the ipotron Mini Tower ii (8300-2G) w/ 8401 hand controller will work on Windows 10 with the driver posted above? The hand controller uses this USB chipset. I'd like to purchase the Asus T100HA to use with this mount and it comes with Windows 10. -

CP210X USB to Serial Converter was installed on my HP Pavilion 500 and continued to function after upgrade to Windows 10.Then after the anniversary upgrade the PC crashed and I had to do a factory reset (back to Windows 8) and then upgrade again to Windows 10.Now when I try to install the 64 bit driver I get a message that the device driver installation wizard was unable to find any drivers designed for my machine.Help please. -
Inore the above. I've now followed the link in PhillipB's post and all is well. -

Sorry that there is some network issue yesterday and I did not see the picture you uploaded.According below links it seems something wrong happened for the driver:I am not sure if uninstall and reinstall the driver could help to fix the issue. You could follow below KB to manually remove the old driver: -
Happy New Year,I don't know why but I have the same problem on my laptop, problem code 31 for this Silicon Lab CP210x usb to uart bridge on Windows 7 with the latest update's ... some time ago, can't remember exactly when I think mid October it was working fine ... it must have something to do with the Fu@%ing security updates from Windows for version 10.I tryed to reinstall drivers, downloaded 'axpanel.ocx' ... copied it in Windows/system ... updated again my windows 7, still doesn't work ... can't use my CAT software ... please who knows something more about this problem how to solve this.kind regards.
Using Arduino IDE 1.6.10/Arduino AVR Boards 1.6.12 with Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit
With libusb-win32 v1.2.6.0 driver installed for USBasp:
- Tools > Board > Arduino/Genuino Uno
- Tools > Programmer > USBasp
- Tools > Burn Bootloader fails with:
If I replace C:Program Files (x86)arduino-1.6.10hardwaretoolsavrbinavrdude.exe with the stock AVRDUDE 6.3 from http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/avrdude/avrdude-6.3-mingw32.zip it works as expected(I encounter arduino/Arduino#5175). It also works with USBasp/libusb-win32 v1.2.4.0, I didn't try it with libusb-win32 v1.2.2.0. This indicates to me that there is a way to make AVRDUDE 6.3 compatible with USBasp/libusb-win32. Since this is a very commonly used programmer I think it would be worth trying to make the AVRDUDE included with Arduino compatible with as many drivers as possible. I've already seen two other users report similar issues on the Arduino forum.

If I change the USBasp driver to libusbK v3.0.7.0 it works as expected.
Using avrdude 6.3.0-arduino2 with USBasp/libusb-win32 v1.2.4.0, or v1.2.2.0 also doesn't work but with a different error output(I can post it if necessary).
Using avrdude 6.0.1-arduino5 with USBasp/libusb-win32 v1.2.6.0, v1.2.4.0, or v1.2.2.0 works correctly.
Using avrdude 6.3.0-arduino2 with USBtinyISP/libusb-win32 v1.2.6.0 works as expected.
EDIT: I installed the drivers using Zadig.
